NCADA Member Hilbish Ford Celebrates 70 Years of Excellence and Honors Founder for his 100th Birthday

RALEIGH, N.C. – March 21, 2024 – NCADA Member Hilbish Ford commemorates 70 years of excellence in the automotive industry and wishes a happy 100th birthday to founder and current owner, Fredrick “Buddy” Hilbish!

Buddy a U.S. Navy Veteran, World War II Veteran, and Harvard Business School graduate purchased the original dealership in 1954 just before his 30th birthday. The current Hilbish Ford in Kannapolis was built in 1968 after merging with a competing company, Concord Motors. Buddy a known philanthropist has given to many causes including Cooperative Christian Ministries, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Hospice of Cabarrus County, Atrium Hospital Foundation, Cabarrus Meals on Wheels, Concord and Kannapolis Police, and local community Colleges to name a few.

Following comments from his daughter Melissa, Concord Mayor Bill Dusch, Kannapolis Mayor Darrell Hinnant, and community members, Mr. Hilbish was presented with a proclamation from the city of Kannapolis, a framed letter from William Clay Ford Jr., Executive Chairman of the Ford Motor Company, and an American Flag for his military service.

Buddy is known for being a wonderful father, phenomenal businessman, philanthropist, and a key member of the Kannapolis community. What an incredible legacy and amazing milestones to celebrate. Happy birthday Mr. Hilbish and Hilbish Ford Team!
