NCADA Conducts Annual Legal Seminar
For the past ten years, NCADA’s annual Legal Seminar has been the must attend event for dealers to get the latest information on state and federal regulatory, legislative and legal issues impacting our industry. This year’s seminar was held earlier this week at the Koury Center in Greensboro. Led by NCADA Chairman Tom Hunter and moderated by NCADA President Robert Glaser, the seminar covered important topics such as the latest on consumer finance issues, advertising compliance, human resources issues, DMV enforcement efforts, as well as an update on the recently concluded 2017 legislative session. In addition to NCADA’s legal team of Shawn Mercer, John Policastro and Richard Vinegar, this year’s program included Jami Jackson Farris of Parker Poe in Charlotte. Jay Lowe and Lindsey Surratt with NCADA Premium Partner Hill, Chesson & Woody provided a very timely healthcare law update. A special luncheon meeting of NCADA’s RV dealer members was conducted by Richard Vinegar and John Policastro in conjunction with the Legal Seminar to provide dealers with an overview of RV warranty law legislation that was enacted this year. Finally, during the lunch program, NCADA Premium Partner American Financial presented the NCADA Hometown Heroes Program with a generous contribution. NCADA thanks all the presenters and attendees at this year’s Legal Seminar!
