NC Franchised car, truck, and RV dealers raise more than $125,000 for first responders.
At a special luncheon ceremony held at the 2017 NCADA Executive Forum on December 12 in Cary, NC, 28 first responders were honored as NCADA Hometown Heroes. Dealers from across the state worked with their fire, police, EMT, and sheriff’s departments to honor those that serve local communities. Joey Matthews of Heister Automotive kicked off the luncheon by singing the National Anthem. Each first responder was individually recognized by Special Deputy Attorney General David Elliot and Arden Hetland of American Financial and then presented a token of appreciation for their heroic efforts.
In addition to recognizing individuals the North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association partnered with several non-profits to provide monetary donations. Donations were made to the Professional Firefighters and Paramedics of North Carolina, The North Carolina Fallen Firefighters, as well as the NC Fraternal Order of Police. These funds will be used to provide funerals for fallen firefighters, educate children on safety, and assist with training of first responders in North Carolina.
We would be remiss if we did not mention our outstanding program sponsor American Financial Automotive Services for their generous donation of $25,000 and partners Capital Broadcasting and Spectrum Reach for their media support.
