Introducing the Hometown Heroes Program, a heartfelt initiative that started in 2016 in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks on America. The program of the North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association (NCADA) Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, mission is simple yet profound: to serve as a positive and unwavering voice for North Carolina's first responders. Over the years, we've had the privilege of recognizing and honoring more than 1,000 extraordinary individuals who selflessly dedicate their lives to the safety and well-being of our communities.
Throughout the state, local dealers organize impactful Hometown Hero events, creating moments of gratitude and acknowledgment for the brave first responders who tirelessly serve their neighborhoods. NCADA annually hosts a Hometown Hero Luncheon in Durham, a gathering that transcends local boundaries to honor first responders on a statewide level.
Our Hometown Hero accolades extend to a diverse array of roles, including 911 operators, DMV enforcement, college security, secret service, EMS personnel, Highway Patrol officers, law enforcement professionals, firefighters, sheriff's office personnel, and healthcare workers. Each of these individuals plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and resilience of North Carolina communities.
All year long we will be working with franchised automobile dealerships, our corporate sponsors, and other foundations to bring events to your community. All of these events will be in the name of First Responders.
