North Carolina is currently operating under Executive Order 224 - Implement Measures to Address COVID-19 and Related Variants - (FAQ on EO 224) - (Extended through April 5, 2022, by Executive Order 244) - Under this Order, there are currently no statewide mandated requirements or restrictions for franchised dealerships. However, the Order strongly encourages private businesses and organizations in the state to follow North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) guidance to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, including the Delta variant. The recommended measures include requiring workers to either verify that they are fully vaccinated or, if they are not fully vaccinated, to wear a Face Covering and be tested on a weekly basis. The measures also include recommending Face Coverings for fully vaccinated employees and guests indoors when other people are present. Please note, these recommendations are NOT required, but again are strongly encouraged under the new Executive Order 224.

IMPORTANT - While there are no statewide COVID-19 related requirements for franchised dealerships at this time, several local governments throughout the state have reimplemented face covering mandates - See Local Government Orders section of this COVID-19 Resource Center.
